A training institution for maritime simulation, training, assessment and research. This proposed Mariner space focuses on STAR Center's Engineering Candidate Hawsepipe program, known as TECH, with room for the institution to organize additional approved programs later. STAR describes TECH as approximately two years of alternating classroom and sea training toward Third Assistant Engineer, Motor, unlimited horsepower. Its instructors can organize their own programs, intakes, shore and sea phases, semesters or quarters and study modules here, alongside Mariner's separate USCG exam preparation.
